Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data Fajr Pro (“we”, “us”) collects, why we collect it, and what your rights are. We aim to collect as little as possible — everything below reflects that.

The short version

  • Your location never leaves your device. We use it to calculate Fajr times locally. We don’t send it anywhere.
  • Your email is used only to sign you in and to sync your streak and settings across your own devices.
  • We don’t sell your data. We don’t share it with advertisers. We don’t use it for anything except making the App work.

1. What we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive from them a unique user identifier and (usually) your email address. We store these in our authentication database (Supabase) so you can sign back in later and so your data can follow you across devices.

If you use Sign in with Apple and choose Apple’s “Hide My Email” option, we only ever see the anonymous relay email Apple provides.

App state

We store the following per-user data in our database so it syncs across your devices:

  • Your streak count and dates of successful wake-ups
  • Your calculation method, high-latitude rule, manual offset, wake offset
  • Your mission choice (QR / recitation) and alarm-sound choice
  • Timestamp of when the record was last updated

Location

The App uses your device’s coarse location (accuracy of about 1 km) to compute Fajr times for where you are. This is done entirely on your device. The coordinate is stored in your device’s local UserDefaults and never transmitted to us or any third party.

Microphone (recitation mission only)

If you use the recitation mission, the App uses your microphone to capture your voice. Speech recognition runs entirely on your device — audio never leaves it.

Camera (QR mission only)

If you use the QR mission, the App uses your camera to scan codes. Camera frames are processed on your device only; no images or video are recorded or transmitted.

Purchase history

When you purchase a subscription, Apple provides us with your subscription status (active / expired / in trial) through their StoreKit framework. We store this locally on your device. We don’t receive your credit card details or Apple ID password.

2. What we don’t collect

  • Analytics / usage tracking of any kind
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Contacts, photos, browsing history, or anything else outside the specific permissions the App requests
  • Precise (GPS-accurate) location

4. How long we keep data

We keep your account and sync data as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete all associated data from our database within 30 days.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Have your data deleted (see below)
  • Object to certain processing
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from within the App (Settings → Account → Sign out then Delete Account) or by emailing privacy@fajrpro.com. Once initiated, deletion is permanent and completes within 30 days.

6. Security

We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Supabase’s row-level security policies ensure that users can only read and write their own data. No system is 100% secure — we do our best.

7. International transfers

If you’re outside the region where Supabase hosts our data, your data may be transferred across borders. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards (such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

8. Children

Fajr Pro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we’ll delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified to you through the App or by email. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
